Oh, Cool! Ghent, which is pretty near. It's a very pretty city actually, you should come visit if you haven't it's worth it. And let me know if you do ;)
Yes! And I have a question for you. I see in your about section a note to readers about not paying for other substacks, and sticking to one place, I can’t help but ask about that because of course my hope was that by featuring me, that would mean you’re suggesting to readers that they might find a kinship in my work and would enjoy subscribing to my writing? Is that not the case?
Yes, of course! I write myself another newsletter, so I know how important it is to get paid. I want to promote everyone to new readers, I just think that sometimes people cannot afford paying many, so a compilation would be a possible solution. But in the end, if someone finds you here, they will make the choice to subscribe and pay for your content which is significantly different from The Substacker. Those are not competing topics or approaches, people can prefer always new articles or writers, or follow one person and everything they write.
I was freaking out when I saw The Booklinker featured, such an amazing post/person, and then I scrolled to see myself featured too! I’m so excited you enjoyed and I hope I can make more work worthy of your keen eye for story. 🔥🫶
Thank you so much for sharing my essay here, Luiza! And I'm excited to dive into all of these fascinating reads as well 🙌
I loved yours!! It transported me back to Montevideo. I also love the “expat” topic since I live abroad myself. :)
Ahh I love that you’ve been to Montevideo! How awesome 😍 and can I ask where you’re based in the world?
Thanks so much again for what you do! Love that you help feature more indie writers on Substack ✍️🙏
I'm from Brazil but have been living in Belgium for the last 4 years.
No way! Which part of Belgium? I just moved to Antwerp two weeks ago! 🇧🇪

Thank you so much for including my work!! 🤗
Very interesting. I learned a lot! Thanks for that.
Curated lists like this are great. Having "thinky" hubs on Substack provides value for your readers; well done!

I see, I really appreciate your time clarifying! Glad my question came across alright!
